Meet The Team
Where did it all begin?
Founder and managing director Wyn Jenkins launched Seren Global Media six years ago after a long career in journalism spanning London and Wales. After starting his career as a graduate trainee with financial publishing company Euromoney in London, he went onto edit many publications covering everything from hedge funds to insurance to Welsh business. His vision was to launch an agency based around delivering high-quality content to clients that could be used across multiple platforms in a rapidly changing media landscape. Wyn studied at Exeter University and the University of New South Wales, Australia.
Originally from Swindon, Andrea moved to Swansea to pursue a degree in Fine Arts. She has previous experience working for the South Wales Evening Post and in digital advertising for Newton Media before settling into her current role as communications executive. She’s responsible for issuing press releases, managing social media and blog uploads, monitoring media and general admin. Andrea’s fine art background gives her a creative edge, organising design and photography for clients. There’s always something tasty in the fridge as Andrea loves to cook, as well as designing her own clothes and working on original art.
Ros Bromwich is a magazine editor, proofreader, and writer with experience in the UK and Australia in print and online publications spanning subject matter from babies and boats to insurance and intellectual property, with plenty more in between.
Whatever the topic, Ros can polish, correct and improve copy so that it does the best job for the writer and the reader.
She lives in Mumbles, Swansea, and when away from the desk spends her time at the gym, on the family allotment and singing in two choirs.
Grant Nicholas is a Senior PR Account Manager at Seren Global Media. Having studied Design & Communications at Swansea School of Art, he became a designer and ultimately studio manager at The South Wales Evening Post (and associated publications), working there for some 12 years before moving onto pastures new.
He then worked for an industry-leading event organiser within the Antiques trade creating content, writing press releases, blogs and managing social media as well as managing general print and digital marketing requirements.
When work and family commitments allow, Grant enjoys swimming, walking, reading (mostly ancient history), as well as playing, writing and recording with his band, which, unbelievably to many, has been a regular feature on the local music scene of Swansea for over 20 years.
Passionate about words, Jenny White has written for local, regional and national newspapers as well as multiple food and travel guidebooks, since 2001. In 2005, she also embraced PR, starting out specialising in art galleries before significantly broadening her scope. On top of that, she’s spent many years as a copywriter, creating everything from copy for websites to advertorials, brochures and leaflets. Originally from Brighton, she studied English Literature at the University of East Anglia and moved to Swansea after marrying a Welshman. In her spare time, she loves creating recipes, eating out and walking her three dogs.
Swansea local Pat is a production manager for the Newton team. Before joining the team, Pat had 27 years’ experience as an editorial services manager in the South Wales Evening Post where she was the head of the team. As production manager, she is responsible for collecting adverts that appear in the magazine, communicating with clients and general admin work.
With a passionate interest in keeping the history of Swansea alive, she runs a Facebook page where she shares nostalgic photographs of the city. When she’s not updating her Facebook page, she regularly goes to gigs and she loves to read a good book while she’s travelling.
